Magna Carta Cellars

Magna Carta Cellars Left Bank Blend (2014)

Magna Carta grapes are sourced from the finest vineyards in Napa Valley. On the nose, there are beautiful floral aromatics of red cassis, with rich notes of cherries and crushed blackberries, along with sweet dark currant and blackberry fruit. Fabulous texture, with excellent density and weight. The finish is bold and complex with hints of dark chocolate and espresso finishing with focus.
HARVEST NOTE

Peter Heitz- Winemaker
Growing up in a vineyard, producing wine came second nature to Peter. A fourth-generation winemaker, Peter grew up planing vines with his grandparents. After attending UC Santa Cruz, he spent nine vintages crafting the venerable Beringer Reserve wines. He became Turnbull’s winemaker in 2007, where Peter’s wines have received 100 point accolades from critics. In fact, each of his last three vintages has featured a perfect score. It all comes from the lessons he learned from family- winemaking, first and foremost, is about farming.

Scott Palazzo- Winemaker
Scott’s passion for winemaking began almost 30 years ago while traveling through the beautiful countryside of St. Emilion and Pomerol. It was there he first began daydreaming about great Bordeaux. The Grammy-nominated musician left the glitz and glamor after a life-changing visit to Napa. He made the decision to give it all up to start an artisanal winery, Palazzo Wines. New kinds of honors for Scott soon followed, and he has scored 96 points wines in each of his last three vintages. Scott crafts complex and seductive Bordeaux- styled wines.
